Statistics about Sex Crimes

According to statistics from the Ministry of Justice regarding cases involving women and children, the perpetrators in four major categories—domestic violence, sexual assault, child and youth sexual exploitation, and sexual harassment—are overwhelmingly male.

In particular, over 90% of perpetrators in sexual harassment and sexual assault cases are men. In cases of “forced rape” and “unwanted sexual touching,” more than 90% of the victims are female, significantly outnumbering male victims.
